Terms of Use

Last updated: September 15, 2026

CrimeFM is operated by App Machina LLC. By using CrimeFM, you agree to these terms. For questions or help, email support@crimefm.com.

Using CrimeFM

CrimeFM provides serialized true-crime audio for adults aged 18 and older. The service is intended for listeners in countries and regions supported by Apple’s App Store or Google Play, subject to local availability. Features, languages and content may vary by location.

For the iOS app, Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement also applies. These terms do not remove consumer rights that cannot be excluded under the laws that apply to you.

Listen for your personal, noncommercial use. Do not redistribute our recordings, sell access, bypass chapter-access controls or interfere with the service. Recordings and other content belong to App Machina LLC or their respective rights holders. Permission to listen does not transfer ownership of a recording or its underlying material. These restrictions do not limit uses permitted by applicable law.

Your account and saved activity

You can begin as a guest. Guest access and progress may be difficult to recover if you remove the app or lose the device. Use the same CrimeFM account for supported account and purchase features. Keep sign-in codes private, and contact support if you believe someone else has accessed your account.

Free chapters and availability

The app shows which chapters are free, which require coins and which are waiting to become available. Requesting an unavailable chapter does not spend coins. The number of opening chapters offered free can vary by series.

Daily free access provides up to one additional chapter per listener per day across all eligible started series, not one per series. The next grant goes to the eligible series with your most recent activity. Eligibility depends on the app’s displayed daily schedule, prior-chapter requirements and audio availability. Starting more series does not create extra allowances, and unused daily allowances do not accumulate.

Coins and purchases

When coin purchases are available, the app displays the pack and price, and the applicable app store asks you to confirm the purchase. Coins are for chapter access within CrimeFM. They are not money, cannot be transferred to another listener and cannot be redeemed for cash, except where applicable law requires otherwise. Purchased coins do not expire.

Checking purchases can help reconcile a confirmed purchase with your account. It does not replenish coins you already spent. If Apple or Google Play confirms a purchase but the credit is missing, check purchases or contact support before buying again. Do not send payment-card details, passwords or sign-in codes.

When auto-unlock is on, CrimeFM uses coins already in your account to unlock an available chapter when you continue listening. You can turn auto-unlock off in the app. It does not automatically purchase a coin pack from Apple or Google Play.

For an Apple-billed refund, use Apple’s refund request service. For a Google Play-billed purchase, follow Google Play’s refund guidance. Refunds are handled under the applicable store’s policies and consumer law. A refunded or reversed purchase can result in an adjustment to the corresponding coin credit. Contacting CrimeFM, checking purchases or deleting an account does not itself submit a store refund request.

Content and service changes

CrimeFM needs an internet connection to load the catalog and stream audio. Chapters and features can change, and the service may be interrupted. If previously purchased access stops working, contact support so we can investigate. Nothing here limits remedies available to you under applicable law.

Our stories concern real crimes and can include distressing subjects. Check the content advisories before listening. To report a factual error or other content concern, send the story, chapter and approximate playback time to support@crimefm.com, with a source link if you have one.

Do not use CrimeFM to threaten, harass or expose private information about anyone featured in a story or using the service. We may restrict access when needed to address misuse or protect the service, subject to applicable law.

Privacy, notifications and leaving

Our Privacy Policy explains how we use information and the choices available to you. Tracking and notification permissions are separate. Declining either does not prevent listening to chapters you can access.

You can request account deletion in the app or contact support@crimefm.com. An accepted request closes access to that account; saved activity, chapter access and coins tied to it will no longer be usable through that account. Deletion may remain pending while records are removed. Some transaction and security records may be retained, as explained in the Privacy Policy. Deletion does not automatically request a refund from Apple or Google Play.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms as CrimeFM changes. We will display the date above and provide additional notice where required. For help with CrimeFM, visit Support or email support@crimefm.com.
